Stephanie Nakasian is a seasoned vocalist and master of innovative jazz improvisation who is listed in the Biographical Encyclopedia of Jazz as one of the world’s leading jazz singers. With 15 albums to her name and 17 as a guest performer, Ms. Nakasian has appeared at numerous jazz festivals and headlined at the Kennedy and Lincoln Centers. Concert appearances as a featured artist include performances with Urbie Green, Pat Metheny, Bobby McFerrin, Milt Hinton, Clark Terry, J.R. Monterose, Joe Temperly, Scott Hamilton, Harry Allen, Sheila Jordan, Bob Dorough, Valery Ponomarev, Jon Hendricks, Hod O’Brien, Philly Joe Jones, Roy Haynes, Veronica Swift and Annie Ross to name a few.

Jeff Massanari is one of the most in-demand jazz guitarists and has performed at Yoshi’s, Pearl’s, Monterey Jazz Festival, Davies Symphony Hall, San Jose Jazz Festival, Fillmore Jazz Festival, North Beach Jazz Festival, the Sausalito Arts Festival, and internationally in China, Japan, Sweden, Finland, Guam, and Italy at the Umbria Jazz Festival. In addition to his many public performances Jeff also performs for a variety of corporate and private events both solo and in ensembles. Jeff’s CD’s have received excellent reviews in Guitar Player Magazine, Cadence, and kudo’s from such respected players as Mike Stern and Eric Johnson. Jeff also teaches at the Cal Jazz Conservatory, and through UC Berkeley.


Our house band, The Quintessential Quartet plays every month, for free, and hosts the evening. Featuring Anne Krieger on vocals, Carolyn Stone on bass and vocals, Harry Powell on lead guitar, and Bob Taylor on rhythm guitar - the Quartet plays favorites from The Great American Songbook and you probably know every one of them.
