You never know what you're going to see at Rapunzel's... photo taken by Debra Guy of 7th Grade Girl Fight in March 2017

we love a full room of good people!

We love our cat, miss Feedback! She showed up here during a Bigfoot County show around 2015 and has been queen of the barn ever since then!!!

How many musicians can we cram onto our stage... Sentimental Journey likes to test that limit and we love every show we get with them here!
This beautiful water color was made by our friend and fellow Lovingston business owner, Patty Avalon. This was part of a collection she made called "Lovingston Landmarks" which includes other iconic spaces around our small town. Contact her to learn more.

Our 21+ years running Open Mic Night is held on the second Friday of each month. This event is known for such a variety of performances that the phrase “You never know what you’re going to see at Rapunzel’s” quickly became its slogan. Please check our event page for more details.

Rapunzel's hosts a quarterly Poetry and Literature Night - they will be on the third Friday in January, April, July, and October in 2024 beginning at 7pm! See our event page for more details.

Our monthly Jazz Nights are held the fourth Saturday of the month and are hosted by our house band, The Quintessential Quartet! This is a free community event that we started running in 2013 to help keep Jazz happening in central VA~ check our event page for more details

some of our friends long ago during a Wednesday night jam... we ran these weekly and then monthly for over 20 years but have recently had to discontinue hosting them [on Wednesday nights] and redirect our efforts elsewhere. There are now several weekly/monthly jams in our area (yay!) and if you need help finding one please reach out! We hope to be able to host open jams here at Rapunzel's again soon.

occasionally we get a delicious food truck to join us at our events, yum yum!!!
