Annie Stokes is a dark Americana songstress and folk lyricist from the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in northern Virginia. Raised on musical theater and her mom's oldies, she began writing poetry and short stories at a young age. When she picked up a guitar at age 20, everything clicked and she fulfilled her destiny of becoming an emotional millennial troubadour. "I like a hook, and I like a song that dredges up specific memories and feelings, rather than generic rushes of serotonin," she says of her songwriting style. "From the beginning, I would get inspired by snippets of conversations I would hear, or certain smells, or little moments." Her catalogue of albums embrace the niche and relatable aspects of environmental justice, intersectional feminism, burnout culture, living with your past, creating hope for the future, gender and family dynamics, and more. Her band's dreamy mountain grunge sound is a favorite to many up and down the east coast. Annie's fifth studio project, "Wild Rose EP" was released in March 2023 to critical acclaim.
When she's not writing or performing, Annie has two daughters with her husband co-writer Will Berger, three cats, a deep appreciation for tarot and herbalism, and a love of the Appalachians. She and her husband recently purchased a minivan, but are probably still cool.

Rebecca Porter is a singer-songwriter and soulful classic country queen based in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Born in Guam and raised in the Shenandoah Valley, Porter writes songs that are heartfelt and honest. She believes Country music is for everyone, always.
When her work in cover bands came to a pause after the birth of her first child, Porter found herself stumbling through parenting an infant during a global pandemic and yearning for a reconnection to music. So, in the spring of 2020, Porter sat down and committed to playing guitar and writing independently. In 2021, she took one step further and entered the world of solo performance. Porter continues her steady climb as one of Virginia’s artists on the rise. The early 2022 release of her debut EP -Prime Rainbow Conditions- fortified Porter as a force to be reckoned with. Most recently in 2023, Porter completed a crowdfunding campaign to support the recording of her next project. The new, full band EP showcases five of Porter’s original songs "gathered from minor highs and major lows." -Queen of the Local (Deluxe)- was released in September of this year. As hostess of the Honky Tonk Nights show held monthly at The Golden Pony she dons a different hat welcoming regional artists to her local home stage, where she is diligently building a supportive honky tonk community in Harrisonburg one show at a time.

Ramona Martinez is a visual artist, writer, and musician from Charlottesville whose work is driven by her desire to channel heavenly transmissions. Through her iconography she seeks to reclaim Christianity for misfits, radicals, anarchists, and outcasts of all types. She is a co-director of Bad Milk Press, a community-building arts organization that focuses on creating paid opportunities for artists and writers in Central Virginia. This do-it-yourself publishing house also produces a quarterly radical art zine, MALA LECHE, to uplift the work of women, non-binary, and genderqueer creatives.
Martinez connects to the divine musically as the front woman in Charlottesville's newest original Honky Tonk band, Ramona & the Holy Smokes. She is a singer-songwriter whose sincere and heartfelt music has been described as "incredibly relatable" and "earnest." She also pulls from her Mexican-American roots to perform and compose traditional Mariachi music in a Country Western style. The band has released two singles this year with more tracks on the way. Through the example of her life, she hopes to demonstrate that it’s possible to be devout and not dogmatic.
